Matthew Keele - Massage Therapist
I come to the bodywork profession via a meandering path. My background is in the helping professions including education, social work, and counseling. I spent nine years teaching high school science and three years working in adolescent rehabilitation. I have completed a 10-month fellowship in psychedelic assisted therapy and am certified by the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I was first inspired to investigate bodywork after reading the work of Bessel van der Kolk’s “The Body Keeps the Score”, a work about trauma. I have found that I really like the work and look forward to getting more training. I earned high marks in my massage training and received positive reviews from folks I have worked with in the past. Currently I am continuing my education with a professional who has three decades of work in deep tissue techniques. I intend to begin a program dealing with neuro affective touch in 2027.
I have been married for thirty-three years and have two Standard Poodles. I love working in my yard and being outdoors generally.
